pack/tribe overall information and rules!
Whoever made the pack, paid the money, claimed the territory, owns that pack. They will be the Leader / Alpha / Stick Monkey... etc whatever they wish to be called. They will set up the pack rules, who is higher in rank, what the ranks are, how it runs, the name of the territories, everything!
The Alpha of the pack gets to decide who the next Alpha is unless something prevents them from doing so. Member-made packs are not like clans where we have rules in place preventing someone from being the leader over and over again. It's totally up to the members to run their packs the way they see fit.
With that being said packs can and will die out. This can be on purpose or accident, sometimes leaders make poor decisions which can negatively affect their pack. When there are no pups being born, no characters being made, mass causalities within the pack, or if no one steps up to take leadership when the leader falls. This can all lead to a pack dying.
Taking Away Leadership
In order to take away leadership, you need to be active and have at least 80 posts
- Have at least five different characters who will stand by the side of your character (this means they need to have all different roleplayers)
- Make an Open Group Thread within the packs' territory with your character telling them they want to be the leader. Make sure you tag the leader.
- If neither character is willing to step down you must request a fight roll to be done.
The number of members on your side affects your chances of winning.
For example, If the pack leader has 60 canines behind them and the Canine threatening them only has 10, The odds of the canine trying to take leadership winning are very slim to none.
If at any time the character loses their allies they forfeit their right to challenge the leader!
Failure to take leadership can end in death or banishment. (Up to leader) you give up you characters life by challenging. No going back. This has been stated in many places.
As well as the ones who stood with the rebellion.
